Their show at Hyde Park BST marks 10 years since they last played the festival, topping the bill in 2016 on a lineup that also featured Alabama Shakes, Wolf Alice, and many more artists.
Speaking on the announcement, Mumford & Sons said: “Hyde Park is woven into our story, it’s where so many memories were made. Coming back a decade later, with all this new music, feels incredibly special. London is and always will be the band’s home. We can’t wait.”
This year, the band released their fifth album, RUSHMEREwhich was their first record since Delta in 2018. They’re wasting no time following it up, either, with Prizefighter set for release in February, meaning the Hyde Park show will be the first chance for many to catch these new tracks.
Mumford & Sons start their UK arena tour next month, which ends with a show at London’s O2 Arena on December 10.
