Merton Council has appointed GB Facilities Services Ltd. as its new graffiti removal contractor, offering free removal of graffiti from local businesses as part of a strengthened approach to tackling vandalism across the borough.

The new contract places an increased focus on removing illegal, antisocial, offensive and non-offensive graffiti quickly and efficiently. Dedicated graffiti removal teams will carry out proactive work across Merton, including removal from private properties (with owner consent) where graffiti is visible from public areas.

The service will help to improve the visual environment, support residents and businesses by addressing vandalism promptly, and reduce repeat graffiti through regular, cyclical cleaning of key town centres.

Councillor Stuart Neaverson, Cabinet member for Transport and cleaner streets said:

“We’re making it easier than ever for businesses and residents to report and remove graffiti quickly. This new contract shows our commitment to keeping Merton safe and welcoming for everyone”

Business owners and residents can request removal from private property for free by completing a consent form. More details, including the form, are available here.
