Queer Eye is back for season 8 on Netflix with a mix of new and returning cast members.
The 2024 comeback of the hit reality series deals with different stories of people who want to improve their lives with the help of five experts in different fields such as relationships, clothes, cooking and interior design.
Queer Eye Season 8 premiered on Netflix on January 24.

Karamo Brown

Serves as Queer EyeThe cultural expert is Karamo Brown. He is part of the series’ Fab Five and has been a mainstay of the series.
Brown has made a name for himself by helping others with their social interaction and lifestyle issues.
Except for Queer EyeBrown is also known for his participation in the MTV reality show The Real World: Philadelphia and Karamo on NBC.
Jonathan Van Ness

Jonathan Van Ness, better known by his nickname JVN, is the grooming expert of the Fab Five, focusing mainly on personal care, hair and makeup.
Van Ness also appeared in a web series parody called Gay of Thrones and acted as host Curiosity with Jonathan Van Ness podcast.
In 2023, the comedian went on tour under the name Fun & Slutty with Jonathan Van Ness.
The comedian and grooming enthusiast returns in season 8 to help new guests such as Ernest Bartholomew and Tim Keel.
Tan France

Return to the world Queer Eye is Fab Five fashion expert Tan France.
France worked as a designer and director for Zara, Bershka and Selfridges. The fashion enthusiast also hosted another Netflix show, Next in fashion, and web series, Fun dress up.
He is a vocal and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and one of the first openly gay Muslim men on national television.
Antoni Porowski

Antoni Porowski is Fab Five’s food and wine expert Queer Eye.
Porowski has a compelling life story from when he started out as a busboy in a Polish restaurant before finally getting his big break.
In addition to his series work, Porowski started as an actor in several films and TV shows, such as Elliot loves, Father’s sonand Black list.
Bobby Berk

Adding members to the Fab Five Queer Eye is Bobby Berk.
Berk serves as the team’s design expert, focusing mainly on interior design and home organization.
In November 2023, Berk confirmed on Instagram that Season 8 would be his final season on the show, admitting, “It was not an easy decision to be at peace:”
“It hasn’t been an easy decision to be at peace, but a necessary one. Even with my journey”Queer Eye’ is over, my journey with you is not yet. You’ll be seeing more of me soon. The love I have received from you guys over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal. You’ve tuned in and been devoted fans, and together we’ve been able to share the healing powers of design. I learned all about kindness, love and acceptance from you and it has changed my life for the better.”
Berk’s departure comes after he earned a doctorate in fine arts from Otis College of Arts and Design in 2022.
Ernest Bartholomew
68-year-old Ernest Bartholomew is a special guest Queer Eye season 8 episode 1
Ernest plans to celebrate his 39th wedding anniversary with his wife Miranda. He needs the Fab Five’s help to sort out the distance in their marriage that has become apparent since their two children left their home.
For example, Miranda wants to try new foods, but Ernest is not interested. Ariel, one of Ernest and Miranda’s children, said that she just wants to “see love how (his) mother wants to be loved.”
Tim Keel

Tim Keel is a self-proclaimed KISS superfan who appeared in episode 2.
From action figures to rare memorabilia, Keel has been collecting KISS merchandise since 1974.
Keel’s daughter Melody enlists the Fab Five’s help in organizing her home, balancing the KISS merchandise line alongside her pets (she has 15 reptiles, a bunch of fish and a pigeon).
He also wants his father to explore new outfits, as his favorite clothes have always been a KISS shirt and cargo shorts.
Melody wants Tim to understand that “There’s more to him than just a caregiver (to his brother) and a KISS fan and an animal lover.”
Doreen Ketchens

Doreen Ketchens is a clarinetist and singer from New Orleans who is part of Doreen’s Jazz New Orleans.
Doreen’s passion for music allowed her to become known on the streets of New Orleans. He also performed twice with the Philharmonic Orchestra.
Doreen’s daughter Dorian talks to the Fab Five about helping her mother move on to the next chapter, where she reopens the sweet shop she inherited.
Denton Tights

Denton Mallas is the head football coach and teacher at the Louisiana School for the Deaf (LSD), who appeared in Season 8, Episode 4.
When Denton becomes LSD’s athletic director, he enlists the help of the Fab Five to save the school’s football program while also impacting the lives of deaf students by preserving deaf culture.
Alison McCrary

Alison McCrary is a former nun turned social justice lawyer who is an advocate for human rights.
In episode 5, McCrary revealed that he left the union because he wanted a long-term relationship with someone. He is described as “real life saint” because he is committed to the community and social causes “runs so deep.”
McCrary’s friend and fellow church member Deedy nominated her for the show so the Fab Five can help her overcome her nervousness about meeting new people and hopefully start a romantic relationship.
Mr. Bone

Last hero of the week Queer Eye Season 8 is Anh Luu.
Anh is a 35-year-old chef at Bywater Brew Pub. He specializes in cooking “imaginary” Vietnamese southern dishes.
In Episode 6, Anh’s boyfriend Sam nominated his girlfriend because he wants the Fab Five to help him start expressing himself again, both emotionally and creatively.
Anh is still reeling from the death of her parents and wants to honor them with a special dinner full of delicious Vietnamese dishes.
