Many Private London Gardens Will Open To The Public Next Month


Have you ever fancied having a snoop around some of the most exclusive gardens in the capital city? Well, now’s you chance. As next month marks the return of London Open Gardens; the annual event that offers us mere mortals the chance to have a peek behind the curtain fence of some of London’s fanciest gardens.

The weekend dedicated entirely to gawping at gorgeous green spaces will be taking place on June 7 and 8and has been organised by London Parks & Gardens. Over 100 private gardens are taking part in the event, allowing Londoners and beyond to see some of the fanciest foliage in town in all its blooming glory.

London Open Gardens 2025

From rooftop gardens and city farms to allotments and historic squares; private green grass and secret summery flowers scattered across the length and breadth of the capital will be on display. By purchasing a ticket, you’ll be granted access to every garden on display across the entire weekend. And under 12s go free – so you can bring your little ones along without having to pay an extra penny.

You can view the full list of participating gardens here, but there are plenty of firm foliage-filled favourites returning for this years event, and a whole host of green spaces that are opening their gates to the public for the very first time.

Over the weekend, ticket-holders will not only get to have a nosey around these exclusive gardens, but they’ll also have the chance to meet some of the green-fingered folk that manage the spaces. London Open Gardens will shine a light on the challenges that London’s gorgeous green spaces continue to face, such as climate change and budget cuts. But the weekend will also highlight the incredible work being done by Londoners to overcome these hardships.
