Four men – two aged in their 20s and two in their 50s – were initially arrested
A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Walthamstow.
The incident, which occured on Friday (February 20) saw a man in his 60s die. Officers were called at 20.59hrs to a property on Westbury Road, Walthamstow, following reports of a stabbing.
Police and paramedics found a man with stab wounds to his chest. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are in the process of informing his next-of-kin.
Four men – two aged in their 20s and two in their 50s – were arrested later that evening on suspicion of murder. Three were later released with no further action.
The fourth man, Eugeniu Neamtu, 58, of Westbury Road E17, is due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday) charged with murder.
