Several sections of London’s Tube, Overground, and DLR networks will be closed or operating with reduced services due to engineering works and planned maintenance this weekend.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What major tube closures are happening this weekend Oct3-5?

The Circle line will be closed between Edgware Road and Tower Hill on both Saturday and Sunday; trains do not run in either direction on this stretch.

On the District line, there’s no service between Embankment and Ealing Broadway all weekend. Replacement buses will help cover lost connections.

The Piccadilly line night tube won’t run between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town from 1:50 am to 6:30 am on Friday night. On Saturday and Sunday, there’s no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge – use the Metropolitan line instead.

Are there any Overground service changes?

The Mildmay line Friday night 10 pm train from Stratford to Richmond shortens at Camden Road; the 11:17 pm from Richmond to Willesden Junction won’t run.

On Saturday, 11:06 pm from Stratford will terminate at Camden Road rather than Clapham. Reduced service occurs between Clapham Junction and Shepherd’s Bush before midday and after 9 pm both days.

The Suffragette line on Friday night: 11:03 pm Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak train terminates early at Upper Holloway.

The Windrush line doesn’t run between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction through the weekend.

Will the DLR operate during the disruption?

On Saturday, no DLR trains run between Prince Regent and Beckton; use replacement buses to travel this section.

On Sunday, no DLR trains link Canning Town and Beckton. DLR2 replacement buses operate all weekend to support affected journeys.

Which lines will have replacement buses or alternative routes?

District line: Buses replace services between Embankment and Ealing Broadway.

DLR: Replacement bus DLR2 runs between Prince Regent, Beckton, and Canning Town all weekend.

Piccadilly line users should switch to the Metropolitan line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge for Saturday/Sunday travel.

Is night travel affected on London Underground or Overground?

Yes. Piccadilly night tube is unavailable between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town late Friday night/early Saturday.

Overground late-night services face earlier terminations and reduced frequencies, especially on the Mildmay and Suffragette lines

Plan ahead and check TfL or National Rail before you travel.

Allow extra time for journeys involving affected lines and consider alternative connections on the Metropolitan or replacement bus services.

Festival-goers, party planners, and weekend explorers may want to avoid journeys through closed or reduced sections entirely where possible.

For a full breakdown, always refer to official TfL service updates ahead of your journey.
