London Weekend Travel Disruptions — All Tube And Train Closures (21-23 Nov)

Here’s all the tube disruptions happening around the capital this weekend, including major changes to national rail services to and from King’s Cross

As the temperature took a dramatic turn this week, leaving the house may seem like more effort than it’s worth, but there’s nothing like seeing the twinkling lights illuminating the city to get you in the Christmas mood. So put your thermals on, grab your layers and make sure you’ve got a brolly packed for any rain or snow, and you’ll be on your way. To make your weekend plans run even more smoothly, make sure you know about all the train and tube disruptions this weekend.

National Rail (King’s Cross)

  • Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November: There will be significant changes to national rail services to and from King’s Crossand for long-distance journeys to Yorkshire, the northeast and Scotland, you will need to travel via St Pancras International to Bedford for replacement buses connecting with trains from Peterborough.

Piccadilly line

  • Thursday 20 November: There is no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridgeand this may be introduced at short notice until the end of the leaf-fall season to protect trains from wheel damage.

London Overground

Liberty line

  • Sunday 23 November: There is no service between Romford and Upminster due to Network Rail track work.

Melted line

  • Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November: There is no service between Gospel Oak and Richmond/Shepherd’s Bush due to Network Rail maintenance work.
    Monday 24 to Thursday 27 November: There will be further disruptions across the week on this line, so check TfL for updates.

Elizabeth line

  • Sunday 23 November: There is no service between Liverpool Street (national rail platforms)/Whitechapel and Shenfield due to track work, and replacement buses will run.
  • Sunday 23 November: There is no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 07:45.

DLR

  • Saturday 22 November: There is no service between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal due to signal testing and third-party works, and replacement buses will run between Canning Town, London City Airport and King George V. There is also no service between Poplar and Becktonand replacement buses will run between Canary Wharf and Gallions Reach via Beckton.
  • Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November: There is no service between Tower Gateway and Shadwell.
