Taylor Swift fans are patiently waiting for the Eras Tour to finally hit the UK this year, but they just got some great news. Of all the cities in Europe that Taylor plays, London is not the most expensive event to attend.
Instead, it’s Switzerland’s Zurich that comes out as the most expensive city in Europe for Swifties to visit. As detailed in a new study from Jeff Bet, which puts the total price of a day out on the town at £182.52.
The study compared the average cost of a hotel for one night, the price of a meal at a mid-range restaurant, the cost of a bottle of water and the cost of a five-mile taxi ride. With these parameters, Zurich comes out as the most expensive bet for Swifties. And Britain is winning this battle.
In second place is Amsterdam, with a total of £142 for a hotel, restaurant meal, etc. This is no surprise given that the hotel price alone is £103.
London is tied with Dublin as the third most expensive city for Swifties to attend the Eras Tour. London’s average hotel stay costs £135 and costs £99, while a meal costs around £18.
The next UK city to be listed is Edinburgh in fourth place, with a total cost of £133 for a day out in the Scottish capital. A £102 hotel stay and a £15 meal still make it reasonably priced.
This information is invaluable to fans who may not have purchased their Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets yet. Especially since there is still time to do it.
How to Buy Taylor Swift Tickets Now
Here’s the breakdown:
However, it is important to note that sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to purchase resale tickets from other fans. As a result, many event organizers state that tickets should not be resold after the initial purchase and are not valid for admission to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets purchased through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets may be invalidated if they are found to have been purchased second-hand. As a result, fans buy at their own risk.
Having said that, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favorite live events, safe and secure, backed by a guarantee.”
