Christmas lovers in the capital will be wise to the paradise that is London Bridge in November and December. Setting up shop by the Thames, one of the city’s finest festive hubs has it all
Thanks to the Christmas by the River market, visitors can shuffle through pop-up bars—a smidgen of mulled wine here, a drop of beer there—and plenty of other festive entertainment. But what if, and stay with me here, you could throw a trip up to the clouds (of sorts) into that equation?
Thanks to London Bridge Rooftop Bar, that’s now possible. Just think, a trip to the markets can be topped off with a skip and a jump up the stairs to catch a marvellous view of St Paul’s Cathedral.
It’s gone into full festive overdrive, with the 220-cover terrace kitted out with Christmas trees and serving up mulled wine and seasonal food.
What food and drink, you say?
Yes, even with views out to the Shard, The London Eye and The Tower of London, this is still, objectively, the most important thing.
Pigs in blankets. Mince pies. Mulled wine, by the teapot (?!). And, *checks notes*, a giant Yorkshire pudding stuffed with turkey or beef and all the trimmings. Wash it down with a cup of their signature winter punch and you’ll be as ready for Christmas as Buddy the elf.
There’s even a fully decked out ‘Grotto’ area for group bookings and private hire. Perfect for your office Christmas do!
You can rest assured that out on the festive terrace, you can eat and drink without catching a chill, with heaters spread around the bar. With the views and the heat, it’s perfect settings for the roster of DJs spinning a mix of the best house, disco and – of course – seasonal tunes.
Bookings are open now for those wishing to celebrate the festive season whilst gazing out over London’s skyline.
