Sister wivesKody Brown is struggling after his spiritual alliances with Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown fell apart and Robyn Brown made a harsh remark about her “nuclear family” in the series it is clear that he gives her too much power. Kody’s kids should be his everything, not just his kids with Robyn. When Robyn made that cheeky remark, she showed the world the attitude she probably always pushes towards Kody.

How can he repair his relationship with his other children if he is always selling the idea that the children they share should be more important?

By doing it “nuclear family” comment, Robyn briefly stepped out of her passive-aggressive persona and showed everyone what she’s all about. Children at home need a father regardless of who their mother is. That’s why Robyn’s “nuclear family” the comment felt so horrible. In fact, it’s probably true that the other moms sabotaged Robyn’s relationships with her kids in a million ways. Nothing can change the past, but Kody, who has already lost a wonderful son, Garrison Brown, should do everything she can to stay close to the children she shares with other mothers.

Robyn is not the most sincere woman

She always wanted Kody all to herself

Robyn isn’t bad, but she hasn’t always been up to par. The main problem with this woman is that she tried to play both sides, even though her goal was to have Kody all to herself. He’s always been too easy to see. Robyn wasn’t honest about her motives. He pretended to respect polygamy, but in his heart he wanted a traditional marriage. That’s why his efforts to befriend his siblings’ wives seemed like such a big manipulation.

Again and again Robyn weakened the fabric of those spiritual alliances, fraying thread by thread until the whole delicate tapestry fell apart. Once the family seemed happy as a whole. They played together in the snow, carved pumpkins in the yard and lived in the same house. The atmosphere was sunnier then. Kody smiled a lot, so cheerful, unlike the grumpy and bitter man he was now.

In fact, it looked like polygamy might actually work. Children were loved by many parents, not just one or two. There was a community spirit that was alluring, and maybe even some hippie stardust…a sense of idealism that felt genuine.

That’s when it really felt like there could be love “factor.” Unfortunately, those days are long gone, and it’s all too easy to be cynical about polygamy, which seems like a social experiment designed to hurt and oppress sister wives. It may not be good for children either.

When Robyn, petite, dark-haired and very unassuming, entered the fray, she plunged the family into chaos. While she illuminated Kody’s spirit, she left the other wives in the dark. This unlikely femme fatale wrapped around Kody’s little finger, and his competitors looked on in horror. There was nothing they could do to stop the freight train from moving. Kody was hopelessly in love with his fourth bride, and perhaps he had never really been in love before.

The devastation experienced by the Brown family due to this event is something Robyn never directly faces. No, love is not a crime, but when she rose to the position of “queen” in the family, he kept pretending it was a level playing field. Clinging to delusions about his marriage and the treatment of other wives, he became a reality TV villain.

Now going further into that “let them eat cake” persona, he talks about a “nuclear family” – with his family Kody. In doing so, he blinds children who did not ask to be born. He hurts them with his words. They deserve so much better.

Divorce should not leave children who do not live with their father feeling abandoned. “Nuclear family” children should not get thick slices of luscious cake while others wish for crumbs. This is not a good way to parent. Robyn’s duty as a stepmother is to rise above – to honor the children she did not give birth to.

By inviting their children with Kody “nuclear family” Robyn crossed the line. He broke the spirit of polygamy, which he spent years rhapsodizing about. He looks like an awful hypocrite. Yes, she lives in monogamy with Kody, but those kids were raised in polygamy, which was supposedly a sacred union. Throwing aside polygamous beliefs makes sense – it shows wisdom. However, the communal desire to take care of all the children in the family, not just his children, should remain sacred.

The “other” children in the home have problems

Has He betrayed them?

The other children in the home are valuable – they have been dealing with a father who puts his energy and resources elsewhere for years. Spent with Robyn, Kody apparently couldn’t understand what she was doing to her other children, and this is a tragedy. Gabriel Brown has said he feels neglected – he’s been lonely. She needed her father and didn’t feel like Kody was there for her. Paedon Brown does not speak to his father. These estrangements are sad things that might perhaps be remedied but for an iron tip in a velvet glove – Robyn!

Instead of using that very offensive “core family” comment – truly cruel voice – Robyn should reach out and use all her power with her husband to help the “non-core” children connect with their father. Garrison’s death was a nightmare – so tragic and such a great loss. The family should come together and parent “other” children sensitively and lovingly.

Is Robyn from Sister Wives really that pious?

His Actions Paint Him As A Villain

Robyn Brown/Instagram

Robynwho hasn’t posted on Instagram since 2019 (see his “put God first” post above), has deserved some of the vitriol he’s received, but if he softens his approach and stops the nasty jabs that make kids and ex-wives feel underappreciated, he can turn it around. Since she has so much power over Kody, she should use it carefully and never, ever abuse it. Sister wivesRobyn Brown should walk a mile in “other” children’s shoes, but maybe she isn’t compassionate enough to feel their pain.

Sister wives fans can stream the series on the Discovery+ platform.
