90 day fiance fan favorites Kenny Niedermeier and Armando Rubio were one of the first same-sex couples to appear on the hit show. Despite the big age difference and different geographical locations, the two overcame many obstacles, finally said “I Do” and started living happily ever after. However, their story is not over, and although both men have children from previous relationships, they are now on a personal quest to welcome a baby together through surrogacy.

For most couples, the rather long surrogacy journey can be joyful and rewarding, but it can also be heartbreaking, and the consequences are devastating. Some problems have prevented Kenny and Armando from having a child together. They have raised money through various ventures, including writing a charming children’s Book, You, Me and Our Family – A Campfire Story. They’ve formed a close bond with a potential replacement, so they might be a little closer to achieving it. their goals. 2025 could be the year their dream finally comes true.

Armando pressured Kenny to welcome the baby with him

Armando agreed because he loves his partner

A large age difference in a relationship can sometimes lead to problems, as couples of different ages may have different goals and expectations. Sometimes age-gap couples clash so much that they break up. Kenny has four children and is 25 years older than Armando. His younger partner is 34 years old. They currently live in Mexico City with Armando’s daughter, Hannah Rubio. Kenny had to leave the US to be with Armando, and it’s easy to wonder what the power dynamic of the marriage is. Kenny seems to jump through hoops to Armando taking care of it.

Kenny wasn’t too keen on welcoming another baby at first, but he agreed to give it a try as Armando is desperate to give Hannah a sibling. Armando is 30 years old with only one child, and a terrible tragedy occurred when Armando’s wife died in a car accident while pregnant with their second child. The unborn baby did not survive. If they have different priorities because they are in different life stages, these challenges can be quite difficult to overcome and can trigger new relationship struggles.

The egg donation process has been difficult

The surrogacy process is quite complex and involves a decision between private or agency surrogacy. There are also a lot of expenses, including legal fees, insurance costs and medical bills. There is also the problem of locating a potential surrogate mother and determining which egg donor to use. Although Kenny and Armando have begun to form a closer bond with potential surrogate Emma, the pair have faced a setback in another area. The egg donation process has also been very difficult. This obstacle has led to a delay in their parenting journey.

The couple were close to receiving eggs to begin the fertilization process, but their egg donor unexpectedly pulled out, leaving them heartbroken. This came amid confusion over how many eggs would be transferred during the IVF process. When this essential part of the process fails, the couple must find a new egg donor. Research, waiting time, and additional expenses are sure to weigh on the couple as they move forward.

Kenny and Armando look on the bright side in 2025

They celebrate on New Year’s Eve

Kenny and Armando has not been seen 90 day fiance franchise for over a year, so some of their recent life together remains unclear. Have they finished the show? Will their marriage survive the pitfalls of the surrogacy journey? These are questions that another installment of the franchise might answer. Despite the obstacles they face, the couple seems to be managing their expectations appropriately. They post online and seem to be in love as they navigate life’s inevitable ups and downs.

90 day fiance fans can stream the series on the Discovery+ platform.
