A brand new festival was recently added to our summer 2025 bingo cardsand it’s continued to make waves this week with the announcement of its first headline act. LIDO festival will land slap-bang in the middle of East London’s favourite park next summer, and it’s just been revealed that East London local, Jamie xxwill be headlining.
The fan-first festival will take place on Victoria Park’s historic Lido Field (hence the name), and will “celebrate globally loved artists who take the lead on the event curation”. Jamie xx is taking the reigns for a specially-curated line up on June 7, featuring a jam-packed roster of exciting acts – several of which are collaborators from his new album, In Waves.
LIDO is dedicated to providing a platform to both celebrate the talent of today and inspire the next generation of music-makers. The festival is set to be a true celebration of music and cultureshowcasing “the most current headliners” and giving them a space to curate a line-up that reflects their personal musical influences and passions.
Who is on the line-up?
Joining the forward-thinking musician and DJ will be the likes of Arca, Sampha, Romy, Panda Bear, John Glacier, DJ Gigola, Shy One, Wookie, and livwutang. Jamie xx will also be bringing a taste of his celebrated club residencies to Victoria Park in the form of a one-off stage called ‘The Floor’, featuring a three-hour set from DJ Harvey (AKA ‘the Keith Richards of dance music’).
Jamie xxsays: “It’s always an exciting prospect playing in my home town. Having done The Floor and Alexandra Palace this year, it’s time for something else! I’m really looking forward to headlining Victoria Park, curating my own day festival and performing alongside my favourite artists.”
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for LIDO festival on June 7, 2025 go on general sale at 10am on November 1. There will be a presale taking place between 10am on October 31 until 9am on November 1. You can sign up to access the presale here, but you must be signed up by 9.59pm on October 30 to ensure receiving the presale email.
