Alex Byrd and Tim Godbee got engaged to the pods Love is blind season 7, but each of them turned to evil ways after the latest episodes. Tim, an online content strategist, tragically lost both of his sisters at a young age. She turned to Alex, a producer working in the fashion industry, who gave her space to release her trauma. Although their relationship seemed smooth, their engagement took a turn during it Love is blind season 7 trip to Mexico.

Love is blind season 7 has been disappointing overall. Although six couples got engaged, only three couples remain in the wedding episode countdown. Additionally, Tyler Francis failed to disclose his sperm donor status to Ashley Adionser. They might get married on the show, but with more news about Tyler coming out, it’s highly unlikely that the couple would still be together today. Alex and Tim were a shaky couple from the start, but unlike many couples, they’re both wrong. Here’s why.

Alex and Tim got into a fight on camera

Alex allegedly covered his mouth with his hand

The first drop of episodes ended on a cliffhanger as Alex and Tim relived the outcome of an epic battle that happened off-camera. Allegedly, Tim and Alex got into an argument after a group party, probably fueled by alcohol, where Alex was accused of putting his hand over Tim’s mouth. She looked damaged and traumatized, the life draining from her eyes as Alex hugged her even though she claimed she didn’t want to touch.

By @realityashley As reported by Vulture, Alex insisted that he never covered Tim’s mouth with his hand. Since the fans were unaware of the argument, it is unclear what actually happened during their argument.

”
It wasn’t really physical at all. It wasn’t that I physically covered her mouth – it was a sort of calming move to make her realize that her voice was turning into a scream
.”

Alex and Tim probably should have broken up in Mexicobut she decided to forgive him. In previous episodes, Tim read a heartfelt letter to Alex’s father, who has MS, asking for her hand in marriage. However, problems arose when Tim was not impressed with Alex’s behavior towards his parents.

Alex didn’t think Tim was funny

Their personalities didn’t match

Alex’s lack of appreciation for Tim’s sense of humor should have been the first red flag in their relationship, but the two mismatched cast members were still trying to make it work. in fires, Tim’s trauma brought Alex down instead of showing him his true personality. He had a lot to unpack after the tragic deaths of his two siblings, but Alex showed very little of who he was, other than his ability to be a good listener.

Alex seemed to dislike Tim from the start and Tim had to tone down the shine to appease his fiancée.

In Mexico, Tim found a hat he liked, but Alex was horrified. It was a completely non-offensive hat, and Tyler even bought a similar one. Alex didn’t seem to be having any fun though and couldn’t find that hat or his own.”Wow Wow” jokes funny. Their incompatibility only developed from there when Tim revealed his spotlessly clean home while Alex’s was a disaster.

Alex disrespected Tim’s parents

He took a nap after the cameras stopped rolling

Alex made a serious mistake and confirmed himself a Love is blind villain when he took a nap after the cameras stopped rolling on his meeting with Tim’s parents. Tim already seemed insecure about Alex when he discussed their relationship with her parents, but her behavior off camera was the nail in the coffin of their tumultuous engagement.

”
The best husband lets you take a nap girl.
“

Alex laughed about the incident online and posted the reel on Instagram shortly after the episodes dropped. “Afternoon nap anyone?” she filmed the video and showed up at her friend’s house only to doze on the sofa. Reactions from fans varied in the comments, with one saying: “Tim did a good thing by leaving you. He should have left you in Mexico, his delivery may have been bad but he did good.“when another comments”,The best husband lets you take a nap girl” followed by a clapping emoji.

While Alex was all smiles and had all the right answers when interacting with Tim’s parents, things changed when the cameras stopped rolling. Alex immediately went to take a nap even though Tim’s parents drove ten hours to meet him. Tim was not entirely impressed with her behavior and confronted her the next day to explain that the straw broke the camel’s back. When Alex tried to speak, Tim refused to listen.

Tim was an “immovable object”

His mind was already made up

When Tim sat Alex down with a plate of chicken wings to talk about her serious mistake, his mind was already made up. However, Tim showed several times during the show that he was “solid object,“, which most women are not going to put up with in 2024. While Alex was difficult and no doubt inappropriate for Tim, his stubbornness and inability to listen will be a problem in his future relationships. Tim had to stand up for what he needed in the relationship, but he also blindsided Alex and was dismissive to his feelings.

Tim said he never wanted to see Alex again, but they both show up
Love is blind
the reunion airs Wednesday, October 30 at 9pm ET on Netflix.

Eventually, Alex and Tim brought out the worst in each otherwhich makes them both villains. However, they are not bad people; they just should never have been together. Hopefully Alex finds someone messier who treats her like a princess, and Tim finds someone more organized, goofy, and flexible. It’s a relief that this Love is blind the couple decided to separate.
