“Rather than masking, I created a polished finish whilst keeping everything fresh and clean”, says Mary Wiles, who created Inga Ibsdotter-Lilleaas’ BAFTA look. To get the best results, she often opts to begin with a facial massage to bring circulation to the surface and start to build a healthy glow. Last night, Mary incorporated the N°1 de CHANEL Revitalising Eye Serum and N°1 de CHANEL Revitalising Serum into this ritual. As opposed to applying the base first, she started with Inga’s eyes so that any fallout could be cleaned up. Inga’s striking combination of dark hair and bright blue eyes meant Mary chose a brown palette to work with – applying Stylo Ombre et Contour in Contour Clair as a base, then blending Electric Brown through the lid, before working it into the lash line and softly pulling it outward for gentle definition. To finish the eyes, she tapped Baume Essentiel in Scintillement onto the centre of the eyelid, using her fingertip to create a delicate flash of light. A touch of brown eyeliner defined her eye shape, and finished with Volume de CHANEL Mascara in Noir to the top lashes only, keeping the look understated and refined.
