Welcome to Plathville star Ethan Plath just debuted his new girlfriend, and I’m sure the appearance of her usual mistakes and patterns will destroy his relationship. I am eager Welcome to Plathville fan, and have expertise in the actors’ lives on and off camera. Welcome to Plathville season 6 ended in early October 2024, and I think it was the best season yet because a lot of the dynamics in the Plath family changed. Parents Kim and Barry Plath have 10 children (one deceased and one not in the show.)

Originally, Kim and Barry kept their children very conservative and religious, but things changed when the older children moved away and Kim and Barry carved out their empire. Kim and Barry shockingly split in 2022, which shook the family. Older siblings Ethan, Moriah, Micah, and Lydia are all out of the house, while younger minor children Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy are still scattered among Kim and Barry. Ethan and his ex-wife Olivia Plath had huge stories together all the way back to 2024. Now I see Ethan moving in a new direction that could continue to shake things up.

Ethan is too traditional and rigid

Ethan is stubborn about the change

Welcome to Plathville‘s Ethan married Olivia in 2018 when the couple were just 18 years old. They both came from the same conservative backgrounds and felt compelled to marry young. They lived in Cairo, Georgia, where the Plaths are originally from, and lived there with Moria and Mica. Ethan, Moriah, Olivia and Olivia’s brother Nathan Meggs moved to Tampa, Florida together before Ethan and Olivia moved to Minnesota so Ethan could be closer to his grandparents.

I noticed that Ethan and Olivia began to diverge on their values and personal desires early on in their marriage, and I know that is the main factor that ultimately drove them apart. Ethan considers himself traditional. He wants to have children and be the man of the house with his wife, taking care of that matrix. Olivia was much more of a free spirit and wanted more out of life than settling down to be a housewife who cooks, cleans and takes care of the children. In the end, I saw how Olivia refused to conform to Ethan’s strict ideals, and it led to their divorce.

I think Ethan is the traditional type of man he is because of his strict upbringing. Kim and Barry’s initially Unyielding grip on the kids with homeschooling and religious instruction are what I don’t think Ethan can get away from. Ethan has also shown his stubbornness over the years, such as choosing his obsession with vintage cars over progress with Olivia. I believe Ethan is set in his pathand I know he won’t accept the change. I’m sure he’ll bring that same personality and behavior to his new relationship and that’s not a good thing.

Ethan tries to change his girlfriend too much

That’s what he tried to do with Olivia

It was clear to me TLC‘s Ethan was inflexible about what his marriage to Olivia looks like. The biggest argument that spoke volumes and that I watched was when Ethan scolded Olivia for not cooking for him the way she wanted. I think his tactic was to tear Olivia to the ground in hopes that he would get the wife he wanted. But Olivia was tougher than that and I’m sure Ethan resented her for it.

“Man is the head and woman is the neck that turns the head.”

If Ethan’s new girlfriend, who he didn’t recognize by Instagram handle or name, doesn’t fit Ethan’s ideal woman, I think he’ll try to change her, just like he tried to do with Olivia. I have noticed Ethan is having a hard time growing up; often reverts to sad moping episodes when he doesn’t get the results he wants.

I think he will use the same tactic on his new girlfriend once the honeymoon ends.

Kim Plath enters Ethan’s relationship

Ethan should keep Kim away from his new relationship

Another part of Ethan and Olivia’s relationship that I know drove them apart was Olivia’s terrible relationship with Ethan’s family, especially Kim. Olivia accused Kim of controlling Ethan’s finances and using his credit cards for her own gain. In addition, Olivia did not like the way Kim and Barry raised their children and had an outward contempt and resentment towards them. Plath’s children sided with their family, further isolating Olivia and Ethan. Olivia wanted Ethan to side with her against her family, but in the end she decided to align herself with them.

Kim has a reputation for being manipulative and meddling throughout her children’s lives, and I could see Olivia getting tired of it. in Welcome to Plathville season 6, after Ethan and Olivia’s divorce, Ethan repaired his relationship with his mother, which I don’t think is a good thing. Kim’s leg is now back on Ethan’s neck. Kim is trying to influence Ethan’s new relationship if she brings him into her family, which I know she will now that her bond with her mother is stronger.

Ethan doesn’t keep his relationship private

What is Ethan’s perspective on the public debut?

Ethan doesn’t keep his relationship private as he posted his new anonymous girlfriend on his public Instagram account. To me, this means that Ethan has plans for next season Welcome to Plathville. Micah debuted his girlfriend Veronica Peters in season 6 and their storyline was one of the most talked about.

Ethan could try to follow in his brother’s footsteps by adding his girlfriend to the show to gain clout and airtime.

I think she doesn’t want to keep her new relationship under wraps Ethan also tries to rub his happiness in Olivia’s face. Olivia had her new boyfriend Brendan last season and I think Ethan is trying to get her back. Either way, Ethan’s public debut could have a huge impact Welcome to Plathville season 7. Anyway, I think Ethan’s new relationship will fall victim to his rigidity, overly traditional views, and family influence, and it will lead to its destruction.

Welcome to Plathville seasons 1-6 are available to stream on Discovery+.

The changes have been saved

Welcome to Plathville is a reality television series that follows the life of the Plath family. The family is a strongly conservative family of nine children, who, although they share some of their values, have begun to long for and cling to their own independence. As the family tries to hold on to their old world values, primarily separate from the rest of the country, they take into account their children’s new beliefs and bump into new family members from their spouses.
