1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has threatened to leave Kentucky, and I’m convinced it would be the worst mistake of her life. The 38-year-old social media influencer became famous when he appeared in the program that premiered in 2020. Tammy weighed over 600 pounds at the time, and she still weighed 725 pounds at her worst. The unscripted show, which follows the weight loss journey of Tammy and her 37-year-old sister Amy Slaton, is filmed in Kentucky. If Tammy leaves “The Bluegrass State,” the streak could end.

Tammy didn’t commit to her weight loss journey until a health scare landed her in the hospital. When 1000-lb Sisters the season 6 star awoke from a week-long medically induced coma and realized he had to save his own life. He treated his food addiction, had bariatric surgery and lost 500 pounds. Weight loss restored Tammy’s mobility and independence. Now that he can take care of himself, he is considering leaving Kentucky. However, I think it would be a big mistake that Tammy will regret in the end.

The real reason Tammy wants to leave Kentucky

Being in a close family has its pros and cons

Although the show 1000-lb Sisters is mostly about Tammy and Amy, their three half-siblings have gotten in on the action. Chris Combs, 44, Amanda Halterman, 43, and Misty Wentworth, 48, have always been a big part of Tammy and Amy’s lives. In fact, the five siblings are together all the time.

When Tammy was at her heaviest, her family took care of her. Now that he doesn’t need so much help, he feels suffocated by his family. Slatons are a handful, so I understand Tammy’s frustration, but she shouldn’t let her impulsive nature ruin a good thing.

being on 1000-lb Sisters changed Tammy’s life in so many ways. It not only facilitated Tammy’s 500-pound weight loss, but also made her famous. Being on the show has helped her grow her social media following and she has become a significant lifestyle influencer. Amy currently has 843,000 followers on Instagram and 296,000 followers on Instagram. In addition to what being on the show has done for her health and career, the show inspires so many people to pursue their own health and fitness goals. I would like to see it repealed.

Losing weight changed Tammy’s life

He is more independent than ever

Losing a significant amount of weight has completely changed Tammy’s life. When he weighed over 600 pounds, 1000-lb Sisters the season 6 star had almost no mobility. He could barely walk, let alone stand long enough to bathe. Leaving her house was a big event that required a wheelchair, a walker, a wheelchair ramp, a special van and someone to drive Tammy everywhere. Now that Tammy is a more manageable size, she has a lot of mobility back. Tammy no longer needs someone to bathe or cook for her, but that doesn’t mean she’s independent.

Tammy is not ready to be alone

He still needs a lot of help

Even though Tammy can do a lot of things for herself, I still don’t think she’s ready to be completely alone. Sure, 1000-lb Sisters the star now fits in a normal car seat and uses a normal seat belt, but he still can’t drive. He still needs someone to drive him wherever he needs to go I don’t understand why he thinks he can live independently of his family.

I’m as impressed as anyone with Tammy’s progress, but I don’t think she’s being realistic. This wouldn’t be the first time Tammy’s emotions got the best of her. May 1000-lb Sisters the star can control his impulsiveness.
