These days it seems like everyone is a big fan The Golden Bachelor season 1 contestant, Mark Anderson, and I’m certainly no exception. While I’m firmly on Team Mark, I’m convinced that a 58-year-old retired Army veteran is too young to be The Golden Bachelor. Mark was no stranger Bachelor Fans of the nation. He made his TV debut during Bachelor season 28, when her daughter Kelsey Anderson took Joey Graziade home for her hometown date. The star was born when the widowed single father of five became an instant fan favorite.
When Mark was chosen as a competitor The Golden Bachelor in season 1, I was sure no one would beat him, but I was wrong. As hard as it was for me to admit, there there was no chemistry between Mark and Joanand she preferred other men like 60-year-old Chock Chapple and 66-year-old Gus Gansert. In a surprising turn of events, Joan sent Mark home right before the hometown date. Online speculation was rampant about Mark’s potential Bachelor The future of the nation, but I am convinced he is too young to be The Golden Bachelor.
What went wrong between Mark and Joan
Zero chemistry
When The Golden Bachelor season 1 premiere, things looked so promising for Joan and Mark. One night, Joan looked excited when Kelsey showed up to introduce Joan to her father. Despite a great first meeting, any chemistry between Mark and Joan quickly disappeared. Not only did Mark not get Joan’s first impression, an honor that belonged to 62-year-old Keith Gordon, but he also didn’t get her first solo date.

Just when I thought Mark would never get a chance with Joan, he finally gave her the solo date she wanted. On a beautiful Southern California day, Joan and Mark boarded a luxury yacht and set off on a romantic trip. Unfortunately, it wasn’t smooth sailing for the couple, who spent much of the date in awkward silence. The only time they spoke was to discuss how much they loved their late spouses. The next day in a video posted to YouTube Bachelor NationJoan sends Mark home before the rose ceremony that night.
Mark is only 50 years old
The golden bachelor should be seventeen
At 58, I think Mark is far too young to be next The Golden Bachelor. Think back The Golden Bachelor season 1 Gerry Turner was 72 when the spin-off began for describing what was the perfect age. When Mark is in his 50s, some of his potential bachelors may be in their 40s. In my opinion, this would be a complete betrayal for a show that promised to focus on people’s love lives in their golden years.
A show about a 58-year-old man dating 40-year-old women would be more than
A middle-aged bachelor
than
The Golden Bachelor.
I know it seems unfair because Mark is only a few years younger than 61-year-old Joanbut this is because Joan dates older men while Mark is more likely to date younger women. It may not be very fair, but it’s just a simple truth that men are expected to be older than the women they date. According to it, nothing stops The Golden Bachelor season 2 of exceeding expectations.
Mark should be Golden Bachelor in Paradise instead
His Bachelor Nation journey doesn’t have to be over
Although I think Mark is too young to be golden bachelor, the good news is that time is on Mark’s side. Just because Mark isn’t next The Golden Bachelorthat doesn’t mean he won’t be one day. The show is a big hit and I’m sure we’ll be watching the seniors fall in love Bachelor mansion for many years.
Assuming Mark doesn’t meet someone who takes him off the market before then, he could always be successful
Bachelor
return sometime.
Meanwhile, if the producers ever did Golden Bachelor in Paradise, Mark would make the perfect resort resident. The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelor introduced many amazing older men and women who could potentially date each other. It might seem like Mark Bachelor the journey is over, but I feel like he’s only just beginning.
