Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has become more than a music tour. Over the past year, it has turned into a phenomenon that dominates live music.
Taylor has performed in dozens of countries and millions of fans, culminating in her being named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. So far, the Eras Tour has covered large parts of both North and South America, Japan and Australia.
There are still dates to come in Asia, across Europe, plus a few more in America for good measure. Most importantly, Taylor Swift is coming to London for eight big dates this year, and you can still get tickets.
It’s been hard for Swifties to get Eras Tour tickets. They sold out almost immediately, and with tickets for London first released on June 18 last year, you’d be forgiven for thinking there aren’t any more chances.
You can keep checking AXS and Ticketmaster for official tickets, as fans can sell theirs if they can no longer go. But they’re likely to snap up insanely fast.
Consider ticket resale sites instead. Viagogo and VividSeats are selling tickets for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. These sites give you the ability to shop when you want, as tickets sold by fans remain until they are purchased.
At the time of writing, the cheapest ticket on Viagogo was £310. There were around 600 left for each date when we checked, but new ones are added all the time. On VividSeats, the cheapest ticket at the time of writing was $592, which works out to about £466.
With people often worried about using resale tickets, a Viagogo spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “The European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has been highly anticipated. We haven’t seen anything like it since The Beatles and with tickets like just had gone on sale, demand is at a peak right now.
” Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favorite live events, safe and secure, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace can list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices are subject to change and tend to decrease over time.
“We advise Swifties to wait until demand settles and regularly check for a listing that meets their budget. Tickets for Taylor Swift’s UK dates have already sold for as little as £172 on our platform. Also, tickets listed at eye-poppingly high levels are rarely , if ever, sell.” (sic)
AXS also released a statement: “The only way to obtain a valid ticket for Taylor Swift’s shows is through the authorized ticket agents. In the UK, the authorized ticket agents are: Ticketmaster, AXS or directly via the venue’s website. In Ireland, the authorized ticket agent is Ticketmaster. Any tickets purchased via resale on the unofficial secondary market will not be valid for admission to the concerts and will be canceled in accordance with the terms of sale.”
“Through official resale facilities, ticket prices are capped to help combat ticket price inflation and put an end to ticket sales. For more information on official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their authorized ticket agent,” they added.
