If there was ever a time to offer out free beers in London, the time would be NOW. When the sun shines, the pining for a post-work lager sweeps around, and these pubs are providing just that on Wednesday, May 14.

Craft Union, who operate 40 pubs across the capital, is giving away a total of 10,000 drinks this week to mark their 10th anniversary in the city. Celebrate with them by strolling in and troubling your barkeep for a pint of beer that you won’t even need to draw your contactless payment for.

How to get a free beer in London

It’s actually very simple: all you need to do is find your nearest Craft Union boozer, stroll in, and ask them. Each customer will be entitled to a free pint of Birra Moretti, a single Gordons gin & mixer, or a soft drink Coca Cola product. After that, sit back and enjoy. The toasty weather is set to continue through the whole week, and a mid-week tipple is sure to do wonders.

Of course, many people will opt for another afterwards (especially when the sun’s out), and for every pint sold on the day, Craft Union will also be donating 10p to 637 charitable local causes around the UK. Every pint sold also comes with a QR code on the day which allows customers to enter the Craft Union competition that will see one pint drinker on the day win £10,000! Just think of all the beer garden splurges to come this summer with that in the pocket.

So, mark your calendars with big FREE PINT letters and start the two-day countdown. In no time at all, it’ll be Wednesday, and you’ll be sat down with your beer. Running until stocks last, the offer goes until 10,000 free drinks have been shifted on the day (limited to one per customer, with each pub allocated an amount of free drinks to give away).
