The Holy Ghost Service — Festival of Life (FOL) will once again return to the UK, as thousands of people are expected to gather to celebrate the legacy of Jesus Christ.
The event – which was founded in April 1996 – has maintained the themes of salvation, healing, liberation and peace, in accordance with the Christian faith, for the past 28 years.
In addition to followers of the religion, individuals from a variety of backgrounds, nationalities and denominations will come together to pray for revival, worship God and hear relevant as well as insightful teachings.
This year the event is organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God and will be hosted by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who has been part of the group since 1976.
Festival of Life will take place on Friday 26 April 2024 from 7pm at Manchester’s AO Arena – and tickets are available to Book online for free.
Meet the pastor
Enoch Adejar Adeboye was born in Nigeria on March 2, 1942. He often recalls that he came from a very humble family, having only worn his first pair of shoes at the age of 18.
Enoch obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Ife in 1967, before continuing with his Master’s degree in Hydronomics in 1969 and obtaining a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 1975 from the University of Lagos.
He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 as an interpreter before being ordained as a pastor and finally, a general overseer a few years later, eventually giving up his university position to preach full-time.
Enoch and his wife, Folu Adeboye, have three children together, all of whom serve in the church.
The pastor has written several published books about his Christian faith, including Open Heavens Daily Devotion, Lessons from the Sower, Deadly Enemy of Man, and Divine Favor. He has a large following both in Nigeria and the UK, as well as in other countries across the world.
