The contractors will support the delivery of Haringey Council’s £570 million Estate Renovation Plan to drive up the comfort and quality of all 20,000 council homes. Each contractor will be responsible for a different part of the borough.

Equans Regeneration will cover the west, United Infrastructure will take central areas, Hugh LS McConnell will manage the east (south), and Mulalley and Company will cover the east (north).

Cllr Sarah Williams, deputy leader and cabinet member for housing and planning, said: “A home is at the heart of people’s lives. Our investment here in Haringey will make a real difference to quality of life for our residents.

“This landmark investment will improve the overall Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings of the council’s entire housing stock, ensuring they are warmer, energy efficient and more attractive to live in.”

Over the next three years, the council plans to deliver improvements to more than 14,500 homes. Targets include 987 upgrades in 2026/27, 1,772 in 2027/28, and 1,929 in 2028/29.

The works will include kitchen and bathroom upgrades, energy-efficient doors and windows, and safety improvements.
