Hampstead Court Care Home in St John’s Wood is proud to offer community based funding to support local individuals and projects in 2024.
Staff and residents are particularly interested in applications that will have a positive impact on the community, whether it’s developing community spirit, encouraging activities or volunteering.
The grant scheme is open to schools, charities, non-profit organizations and community groups.
Staff and residents are now welcoming applications for their next community fund.
In the first instance, an expression of interest of 200 words must be written and sent to [email protected] by Tuesday 30 April.
This should describe the details of the project and how the funding will be used.
Speaking about the project, Hampstead Court Home Manager, Dan Bridges, said: “We are so proud of the links we have built between our local community, and staff and residents look forward to continuing to strengthen these with the launch of our Community Fund.”
Strong connections to the community
The Henna Asian Women’s Group hosts its weekly meetings in the home and comments on the safe and friendly environment the team provides them.
They actively engage with residents and staff and attend events at the home, attend the opening of Hampstead Court and give a speech about their mutual connection.
Young visitors from nearby primary schools are regularly welcomed for invaluable intergenerational interactions, as well as various community groups joining the home for a range of activities and events.
Outdoor entertainment
Residents, loved ones and community supporters regularly use the attractive garden and patio areas outside the home for activities and events.
The team transformed the outdoor space into a winter wonderland for the Christmas holiday, complete with a grotto, a life-size snow globe and a visit from reindeer.
For the home’s grand opening extravaganza event, held mostly outdoors, residents and guests marveled at outdoor entertainment from a stilt walker, juggler, magician and fire eater.
