Beauty fans are rushing to Amazon to snap up a 100ml bottle of hair oil that revives dull hair to leave it nourished, soft, shiny and gorgeously frizz-free. The Kérastase Elixir Ultime is a hair oil enriched with five different types of oil – Marula, Camellia, Corn Germ, Pracaxi, and Argan – to help boost the health of your hair and is currently on offer as part of Amazon‘s Premium Beauty week for £32.87 from £45.80.

Helping to protect your hair from colour oxidation – which occurs when the hair is exposed to the likes of sun, UV light, chemicals, or hair treatments – as well as heat up to 230 degrees celsius, just one or two pumps applied to wet or dry hair will help transform tired looking locks into ‘smooth and silky’ tresses. It’s no wonder celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Blake Lively turn to this brand.

The product, which can also be bought from Boots for £27.50 and Lookfantastic for £22 for a 30ml bottle (rather than 100ml from Amazon), has even been compared to the likes of Olaplex – a brand that is beloved by celebrities like Kim Kardashian, whose bonding oil is currently on sale on Amazon for £17.99 – with a number of reviews – of which there are over 10,000 – praising its ability to revive dry and lifeless hair.

Kerastase Hair Oil

One beauty buff explained: “I didn’t want to believe all the hype about this product, but I said I’ll give it a go and see if it’s worth it. After using it for a couple of months now, I can definitely say it’s a good product that works well for my hair. I would buy this over the Olaplex oil any time! So much better! I apply a small amount each morning and each evening to my mids and ends and it absorbs nicely without leaving my hair greasy! Just nice soft hair!”

Another said it left their locks in ‘hair heaven’ and wrote: “You need this for your hair. It is absolutely perfect to stop frizz and long term hair health. I use it everyday it’s not greasy and it smells amazing!!”

A third revealed how regular use of this gorgeous oil has left their hair tangle free. They penned: “My hair is a little shapeless but since I started using this oil it leaves it beautiful. I’ve been using it for about two weeks and my hair is super soft and doesn’t get tangled anymore.”

While a fourth shopper remarked how a little goes a long way and said a bottle ‘lasts forever’. They wrote: “I use this on damp hair every time I wash my hair and it has definitely made a difference. My hair is noticeably softer and silkier and it has helped with the fine frizzy layer I always seem to have. It’s expensive but I feel it’s well worth the price and it lasts forever!”

While a large number of shoppers have said how much they like the scent of the oil, commenting it smelt ‘heavenly’, for some it was ‘overpowering’ and lasted ‘for hours’.

Others weren’t as impressed by the results commenting how the product ‘made my hair a bit weighted down’ and said how it was ‘nice’ but ‘not amazing’.

Alternatively, if you’re not sold on this oil from Kérastase, OUAI’s £26 Hair Oil from Lookfantastic is a great alternative lightweight oil to leave your hair silky smooth. For a more budget friendly option, Umberto Giannini’s The Frizz Oil is £7.30 at Boots and has been praised for ‘really helping my dry frizzy hair’.
