Colourful shop EGGY Mart has just opened its doors at new canalside development Grand Union.
Founders Ella Li and Carol Qi have built their business around a love for both Asian food culture and pets – and named the store after West Highland Terrier Eggy.

Residents of the Wembley neighbourhood can now pick up an extensive range of pet food, clothing, accessories and even dog prams and skincare, alongside Asian essentials, snacks and drinks.
The dog-friendly store – which boasts a special area for pooches and comfy sofas to linger and play – celebrated its grand opening on Friday March 13 with special offers, giveaways, a pet catwalk, and a traditional Chinese blessing ceremony.
Ella said: “At EGGY Mart, we believe your everyday routines should include everyone you love, including your pets.

“Launching London’s first pet-friendly Asian convenience store enables us to share our love for Asian culture and food with our passion for pets, offering locals the chance to treat themselves and their furry friends in a single shopping trip.
“We look forward to quite literally welcoming everyone and their dogs following our grand opening.”
EGGY Mart joins fellow independent stores and cafes at Grand Union including play café Full of Beans, Peapods nursery, Anytime Fitness gym, Ladudu Vietnamese restaurant, Crepes + Coffee café, and a Co-op store.
