Good Burger 2 highlights Twitch’s Kai Cena in a hilarious role
Apart from the numerous famous Hollywood actors appearing in the streaming sequel, A good burger 2 also featured a cameo featuring Twitch star Kai Cena.
Kai Cenat is a successful Twitch streamer who was awarded the service’s Breakout Streamer award at the 2022 Streamy Awards.
In 2022, Cenat’s efforts to bring celebrity guests such as Bobby Shmurda and 21 Savage to one stream helped him earn 283,245, his highest number of viewers.
In February 2023, Cenati’s hard work paid off when he became the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time after reaching 306,621 subscribers.
Cenat then won “Streamer of the Year” at the 2023 Streamy Awards to cap off his impressive run.
In October 2023, Cena was excited to see his cameo for the first time A good burger 2official trailer.
The streamer shared how he got involved in the sequel, revealing that someone invited him to join A good burger 2 after a clip of him was recorded on Twitch with fans pointing out that he should be in the movie:
“You wanna know what’s so crazy? Talk if you remember, bro. There’s a clip on Twitch of people saying, “Kai would be good at ‘Good Burger,’ bro. I swear. A girl called me and said, “Yeah, this is going to be weird, but you’re going to be in ‘Good Burger 2.’ In my life, bro. I literally said it on stream… (They) called me about that clip and put me in the movie.”
In the film, Cena eats at Good Burger before asking Kel Mitchell’s Ed if he can remove the ice from his drink since he originally ordered no ice.
Ed then hilariously removed the ice with his bare hands instead of replacing the potion, confusing Cenat’s character. Dexter tells her he’s just getting her another drink.
Good Burger 2 is a Cameo Fest (and that’s okay)
Kai Cenati’s short but memorable performance A good burger 2 showed that YouTubers and Twitch streamers could follow in the footsteps of Hollywood celebrities in movies and TV shows in the future.
In fact, getting these famous YouTubers and streamers on board can help the film, as their followers are expected to tune in, increasing viewership or ticket sales for the project.
Kai Cenat was not the only episode of the sequel.
He is joined by a long list of stars and real-life figures, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, A simple life star nicole richie, Brooklyn Nine-Nineis Andy Samberg, Guardians of the Galaxy bearing Zoe Saldaña, American rapper DMC, three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White and veteran comedian Maya Rudolph.
Speaking with ComingSoon, Good Burger 2 director Phil Traill explained the significance of these cameos, noting that “they add to the film” although there is no a “great concentration:”
CS: “I know a lot of people were fans of the original or friends of the cast, but how was it trying to fit all these great names into the script and have them play small roles where they could pop out and not be a huge focus, but add something to the movie?”
Traill: “I think it’s just right. You said they’re not a big focus, but they add to the movie because they might just say one line to disgruntled customer #3 or something, and then we get Gronk (Robert James) Gronkowski), who just comes and wants to do it. But he knew he was playing in the ‘Good Burger’ universe, so he didn’t suddenly end up on The Gronk Show. He was just there.”
The path ended with the words: “Everyone just came to play along and be a part of this wonderful experience and not try to take it for themselves.”
A good burger 2 now streaming on Paramount+.
