As the major addition to the game thanks to its v29.01 update on 19th March, Midas is very much back in the battle royale game – the Rise of Midas event is happening right now.

Fortnite Midas Rises explained: What was added in v21.09?
Up until its end date and time on 2nd April 2024 (2pm in the UK, 9am ET in the US), the Midas Rises event and Midas Presents: Floor is Lava LTM are both available to play.
Midas Rises is an event in which you’re tasked with helping Midas flee the battle royale island by completing special quests.
As per the official Fortnite website: “Midas was in The Underworld… but has escaped. Then, Midas suspects his associate Brutus of treason. But whether he’s guilty or not, the rest of Midas’ crew are committed to getting Midas on “The Marigold” yacht to escape Hades’ wrath.”
Rise of Midas has five phases of quests, which are as follows:
- Midas Rises: available right now!
- Et Tu, Brutus?: available March 20 at 9 AM ET (1pm UK time)
- Jules vs. the Golden Touch: available March 25 at 9 AM ET (1pm UK time)
- Myths of Midas: available March 27 at 9 AM ET (1pm UK time)
- The Great Marigold Yacht Heist: available March 28 at 9 AM ET (1pm UK time)
Complete six quests to unlock the Cerberus Medallion Spray, 12 to unlock the Rose of Avarice Back Bling, and 18 to unlock the Queen in Gold Glider.
Floor is Lava is making its big comeback thanks to Midas, too.

In the Midas Presents: Floor is Lava LTM, you’ll be able to complete separate quests to earn the Lightning King and Zeus Medallion Sprays and the Gilded Vengeance Pickaxe, too.
Earn just eight points and you’ll unlock The Rise of Midas Loading Screen when the v29.10 release takes place. Those who finish top of each region will be rewarded with the Ascendant Midas outfit and Golden King’s Cape Back Bling – plus The Golden Touch Pickaxe and Golden Ascension Wrap when v29.10 goes live.

How to unlock Fortnite Ascendant Midas skin
To unlock the Ascendant Midas skin in Fortnite, you need to buy it from the in-game item shop. Ascendant Midas will be available to purchase from the item shop from 27th March 2024 in the UK. That’s 8PM ET in the US.
Along with the Ascendant Midas outfit, you will also be able to buy the Golden King’s Cape Back Bling, The Golden Touch Pickaxe, and Golden Ascension Wrap.
The Ascendant Midas outfit, Golden Touch Pickaxe and Golden King’s Cape Back Bling will also have a Shade Style along with their standard look.
Fortnite is available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.
