Paul O’Leary, former head of Boden, has been appointed to the board of the Revel Collective bar group.
The business, formerly known as Revolution Bars Group, underwent a major restructuring earlier this year, which resulted in the closure of around 14 bars. It now operates around 60 locations, including Revolution Bars and the Peach Pubs Collective.
O’Leary has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company, joining Gavin George, founder of Laine Pub Company, and hospitality investor Charlie McVeigh on the board.
Restaurateur Luke Johnson became non-executive chairman of the company in September after acquiring a 20% stake earlier this year.
O’Leary has extensive finance and management experience in the consumer sector, having served as CFO at clothing retailer Boden from 2000 to 2019, followed by COO from 2019 to 2024.
O’Leary currently serves on Boden’s board as a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee. He is also expected to serve as chairman of Revel Collective’s audit committee.
Johnson said: “Paul has deep experience of the UK retail sector as Boden’s long-standing CFO and we look forward to drawing on his advice and knowledge as we navigate the challenging circumstances ahead.”
