Elvis Costello has announced a set of UK dates for the summertimewhich will see him celebrate the first period of his storied music career. He’ll be joined by The Imposters with Charlie Sexton on each date, performing a set that focuses largely on the early pillars of his discography.
Titled ‘Radio Soul! The Early Songs of Elvis Costello’, the tour will see him play a London show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on Monday, June 15which comes alongside gigs in Birmingham, Portsmouth, and Newcastle. According to Costello, ‘Radio Soul’ will be among the songs performed, and is a first draft of what would become the hit song Radio Radio.

As mentioned, Elvis Costello will be backed by The Imposters with Charlie Sexton for the shows next year. The Imposters features keyboardist Stevie Nieve and drummer Pete Thomas, both of whom were members of The Attractions, who formed with Elvis Costello in 1977. Charlie Sexton, meanwhile, first played with Elvis Costello in 2021, and has continued touring with him since.
These dates come among a cluster of previously announced European shows that Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton are supporting Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, which feature gigs in Glasgow, Chelmsford, Oxfordshire, Cardiff, and more. The shows announced today, however, are the chance to see the full headline performance.
