Elior UK has managed to secure a catering and cleaning contract with the James Hutton Institute in Scotland. The financial details of the agreement are not disclosed.
Under the agreement, the caterer will provide services to the research organisation’s two locations: one in Invergowrie near Dundee and Craigiebuckler in Aberdeen.
The Hutton Institute conducts research focused on crops, soil and land use to increase environmental safety.
Elior’s team of 37 members, including head chefs, cooks and catering and cleaning assistants, serves the needs of the Hutton Institute’s more than 500 employees.
In addition, a new restaurant will open on the Invergowrie site this summer, offering more opportunities for guest kitchen events and pop-up dining experiences.
Ian Hadden, Property Manager at Hutton, said: “We are delighted to be working with Elior as our new partner for all catering and cleaning. We were impressed by the quality of Elior’s proposal and the technical solutions on offer.
“As we welcome the infrastructure development of both campuses, we are looking forward to the agreement with Elior. As our relationship continues, we will explore opportunities for more formal hospitality and develop meal options for everyone on site.
Calum McLaren, Regional Director of Elior UK, added: “The James Hutton Institute is exactly the kind of organization we love to work with. An institution working towards positive change on the planet is fully aligned with our ambitions and CSR objectives. We work together to create a contact that can adapt and grow to meet the institute’s needs as it expands, while enabling the best service.”
Elior UK operates as part of the Elior Group, which has an annual turnover of £5 billion.
