It’s pretty much impossible to be bored in a city as vibrant as London. There are simply so many activities to enjoy, sights to discover, and restaurants to check out. Oh, and plenty of board game cafés, as well, for competitive hangouts with friends. And now, a brand new board game venue is set to arrive soon in East London – courtesy of the much-loved DRAUGHTS group.

If you have more than a passing interest in board games, or if you’re always looking for something fun to do with friends, you’re no doubt familiar with DRAUGHTS. Their board games cafés boast in excess of 1,000 games to play. That means you can take your table-top-obsessed mates and your friends who’ve only ever played Monopoly, and still find something for everyone to enjoy.

Those fine folks at DRAUGHTS are gearing up to celebrate 10 years of gaming. To do so they’re opening up a brand new venue this Spring in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It will be the third DRAUGHTS venue, but it will be London’s very first board game restaurant and bar.

Promising “a unique dining and gaming experience,” DRAUGHTS’ third location will spread itself out across over 4,000 square feet. Inside, the space will encompass 3,540 square feet, complemented by a 570-square-foot outside area. Outside, guests can take in views of the London Stadium and the Waterworks River. Assuming they’re not too focused on gaming, that is. And there’s ample room indoors for over 150 guests across two floors.

The venue will be the first retail venue at what is set to become a “cultural and educational hub”. It will join the likes of the BBC, London College of Fashion, Sadler’s Wells, the V&A East, and more.

Said Nick Curci, DRAUGHTS founder, about the new site: “We are thrilled to introduce our third venue to the vibrant Park and East Bank community, and we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for all our guests“.

And they’re clearly not planning on stopping with their expansion any time soon. Curci added, “Looking ahead, we are excited to explore new avenues for expansion and innovation, ensuring that DRAUGHTS remains a leading player in the board game and hospitality industry.”
