Sammy Moore, Cam Tweed, Ryan Upton, Alice O’Brien, Courtney Cyrus and Ena Yamaguchi have been announced as the cast of Behind we have G Stringwhich runs at the King’s Head Theatre from 6 May to 7 June 2026.

Directed and choreographed by Alfred Taylor‑Gaunt, the production returns following a previous run at Sadler’s Wells. Described as very fun, quite silly and rather naughty, the show transforms classical music favourites into a homoerotic whirlwind of physical comedy.

The piece blends dance and slapstick in a series of visual sketches created by Some Smith and Moore. The 75‑minute production promises an evening that is mischievous, unpredictable and a little cheeky.

Moore reprises his performance from the earlier staging, with screen roles including Evermoor Chronicles, Father Brown and Haunted. Tweed joins the company as a five‑time Tap World Champion, while Upton arrives from international work with Mystic Ballet and credits including The Snowman and Disney’s Tarzan the Musical.

O’Brien recently appeared in the UK tour and Broadway performances of Quadrophenia: A Rock Ballet and in Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands. Cyrus brings experience from Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio: A New Musicalas well as a growing online following. Yamaguchi’s credits include The King and I at the London Palladium and Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.

The creative team includes set designer Emily Bestow, lighting designer Andrew Ellis, sound designer Findlay Claydon and costume designer Reuben Speed.

King’s Head Theatre, known for its focus on emerging, queer and innovative work, will host the production in its purpose‑built Islington home.

Performances include evening and matinee options throughout the run, with a press night scheduled for 12 May at 7pm. Tickets start at £10, with a Pay What You Can performance on 9 May at 1pm.
