City of York Council has submitted a formal appeal after an employment tribunal ordered the authority to pay out £10,500 to a former top director.
It comes after employment judge Ian Miller ruled Neil Ferris, who was the council’s corporate director of place until 2024, was entitled to a statutory redundancy payout of £10,500 after a three-day hearing.
