Glenn has been the captain Sailboat below deck‘s Parsifal III since Season 1, and Gary joined the hunt and the show in Season 2. Sailboat below deck is the third spinoff of the series Below decks franchise and has been popular with viewers all the way up to season 5. The reason for the decrease in viewership is related to Gary’s bad behavior on and off screen.
Earlier this year, Gary was accused of a Below decks sexual abuse makeup artist. She claimed that a drunken Gary tried to lock her in his hotel room and grope her inappropriately. The Bravo network said it investigated and took action, but Gary was not invited to BravoCon 2024. The incident happened in the summer of 2022, when BDSY season 4 was filmed. BDSY season 5 was released late after speculation swirled that Bravo was trying to figure out what to do with the season since Gary was already cast in it.

In the four seasons that Captain Glenn and Gary have worked together, they have grown very close. Even after season 2, their first season together, Glenn invited Gary on a cruise on Parsifal III after filming was finished. Every time they greet each other at the start of a new charter season, the pair are very friendly and have nothing but good things to say about each other. In one Instagram post, which has since been deleted, Gary wrote in the caption: “”It’s sad that people will do anything to bring you down,with “hashtag”#I was canceled for lying.” In a since-deleted comment by Captain Glenn, he gave Gary’s post a thumbs up emoji in the comments.
