Independent shop STORRD is running the week-long initiative for early morning dog walkers in Camden Town and Primrose Hill this month.

From 8am to 9.30pm between March 21 and 27 they will be serving free dog snacks and pooch-approved whipped cream drinks alongside complimentary refreshments for their human handlers at the front of the store.

The doggy deli in Jamestown Road is designed to give back to the pet owners who have become regulars since it opened in December – and to celebrate their proudly dog-friendly status.

The shop has become a favourite pitstop for local dog walkers and they hope it will offer a rare moment of calm and a chance to meet other owners.

STORRD stocks dog treats and snacks as well as plenty of food for humans as a part convenience store, part community hub – and unofficial dog social club.

As well as a hot deli counter, the minimarket stocks premium independent brands, organic fruit, steak, pastries and sushi.

With its bright pink baskets and branding it is testing the concept of a new style of mini supermarket before potentially rolling out the idea to other sites.

Rachel Andre, Director at STORRD commented: “We’re proudly dog-friendly and every morning we see dogs sprinting to our door faster than their owners.

“The team at STORRD are real animal lovers and it’s important to us to be dog friendly, so we thought why not celebrate them! The Doggy Deli is our thank you to the community that’s embraced us. There’ll be free treats for dogs, and coffee and snacks for humans too.”

The event is free, open to all, and requires no sign-up. Just bring your dog, your lead, and your morning energy.

STORRD is at 10 Jamestown Road, Camden Town and the dog deli pop up runs daily from March 21-27 from 8am to 9.30pm.
