On a suitably cold day, that also happens to be the first day of autumn, Camden Market is already looking ahead to even colder (but more festive) times. That’s because they’ve recently announced details of the Camden Market Christmas celebrations – and what a festively wonderful programme they’ve got in store for Londoners.

Camden Market’s Christmas wonderland will launch on December 6filling the area with holiday cheer. They’re treating revellers to everything from an Ice Palace Santa’s grotto to festive crafts, face-painting, and some stunning decorations. You won’t want to miss a trip to Hawley Wharf and the markets this December.

To kick off the festive celebrations, there will be live performances on the day from the Big Sing and Camden Rock Choir. The day will also mark the launch of the Ice Palace Grotto – the centrepiece of the Camden Market Christmas celebrations. Here, families can enjoy a meet-and-greet with Father Christmas and Mother Christmas and marvel at a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The ticketed experience also includes festive gifts for participants and creative activities. These include a craft table, the opportunity to write a letter to Father Christmas, and face painting.

Camden Market Christmas decor

Come December 6, Camden Market will be transformed with the addition of holiday decorations. Head to Water Lane and you’ll discover a ‘ceiling of light’ installationwhere a canopy of illuminations will shine down on visitors. Look closely around the market, and you’ll notice that the Christmas lights draw inspiration from snowflakes.

For those looking for a mini treasure hunt, be sure to try and find all five of the Christmas trees. Each one has been decorated with snowflake decorations. Keep an eye out for their icy blue and fuchsia pink ornaments, which capture “the magic of Camden Market as it welcomes the festive season.”

🎟️ Head here to find out more, and to buy tickets for the Ice Palace Grotto when sales are live.

🕰️ The Camden Market Christmas season will kick off on December 6.
