Nahom Medhanie, 26, has been officially named as the victim of the shooting on Chalton Street in Camden on Saturday (March 28).

Nahom was sitting in a white Nissan Juke at around 11pm when he was shot several times, the suspect arriving and fleeing on a bike, reports sister site London Now.

Nahom’s family said in a tribute: “Nahom was more than a son and a brother to us and since his passing it has been the hardest days of our lives.

“He was funny, honest and would just light up the room with his presence and that’s what we loved most about him.”

The family has asked for privacy at this time.

An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made yet.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting CAD 8032/28MAR or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Information, including dash cam or other video footage, can also be sent to the investigation team through the Major Incident Public Portal.
