Vodafone is to offer millions of Sky, BT and EE customers £100 when it launches ‘The Great British Telecoms Switch’. It’s a new campaign designed to “help people get a better deal for their broadband”.
BT, EE, Sky and Vodafone all get the same broadband technology. This is provided by Openreach, which operates part of the country’s broadband network.
But even so, some customers are paying £200 a year more for the same full fiber broadband. But Vodafone is offering customers £100 to cover exit charges – in line with the ‘One Touch Switch’ regulation deadline.
“We are committed to Ofcom’s ‘One Touch Switching’ regulation and disappointed that it was delayed by our competitors, so we urge them to make sure they meet the new deadline and start making it easier for customers to get the best deal.”
