It’s that time of the year again – Black Friday – and if you’re in the market for a streaming device, or you’re looking for more stuff to watch – there are some excellent deals this year.
From discounts on the brand new Fire TV Sticks and other top streaming devices, to Black Friday deals from Sky and BT, as well as streaming service discounts – there are lots of interesting offers this year.
Most of these discounts are only available for a few days, so be mindful of that. And as always, please remember that you should only buy stuff you were planning to buy anyway – a discount is not a reason to buy something you don’t need or can’t afford.
Streaming Devices – Black Friday Discounts
All Fire TV Devices Now On Sale
Amazon is offering tempting discounts on all of its excellent Amazon Fire TV streaming devices (except for some of the television sets that have Fire TV built-in).
Even the brand new Fire TV devices, that launched a couple of months ago, are already on sale – so if you’re in the market for one, these are excellent devices at great prices.

Roku Black Friday Deals
Roku is the leading manufacturer of streaming devices in the US – and for good reason, with excellent devices and a very simple and easy to use interface.
For Black Friday, Roku is offering discounts on some of their devices that are currently sold in the UK – but unfortunately, not on the Roku Streaming Stick 4K.

Google Chromecast Black Friday Deals
Google has two main versions of the newer Google Chromecast with Google TV, which has a remote and an on-screen operating system with apps (unlike the older Chromecast that could only be controlled from your phone).
Both versions are very similar – but the HD version only supports 1080p content, and the 4K version – which is also a bit more powerful – supports 4K / HDR content. Both versions are currently discounted for Black Friday.
Sky TV Black Friday Deals
Sky is ushering in Black Friday with enticing offers on its standalone streaming devices, the Sky Glass TV and the Sky Stream puck. These discounts include:
Sky is also discounting several content add-ons for Black Friday 2023:
- Sky Sports is temporarily down to £18/month (instead of £25/month) on the 18-month contract
- Sky Cinema is down to £8/month (instead of £11) on the 18-month contract, and £10/m (instead of £13) on the rolling contract
- TNT Sports (formerly known as BT Sport) is down to £26/month (instead of £30/m) – and you now also get the full Discovery+ Premium plan (which includes TNT Sports on other devices) if you sign up for TNT Sports via Sky.
- Sky Kids is down to £4/month (instead of £6).
- The Ultra HD (4K) and Dolby Atmos add-on is down to £4/month (instead of £6).
If you want to watch in additional rooms, you need the “Whole Home” add-on, which is now £10/month (instead of £12) – with the first Stream puck (for the second room) being free.
And lastly, if you want to be able to skip the adverts on Sky Glass (or, more accurately – fast forward them) – you’ll have to pay £5/month for the privilege – but there’s no discount on that.
NOW TV Black Friday Deals
You can also get Sky’s channels via its streaming app – NOW (formerly known as NOW TV).
NOW is offering significant Black Friday discounts, albeit with a six-month minimum term contract:
- 50% Off Plans: This includes the Entertainment membership at £4.99/month, Entertainment + Cinema at £9.95/month, and the Sports plan at £17.49/month.
- Mega Bundle: Combining Entertainment, Cinema, and Sports, this is available at £27/month, representing substantial savings over the standard price.

BT TV’s Black Friday Deals
BT TV is concentrating on sports fans this Black Friday, with notable offers on its TV platform (which will soon change its name to EE TV).
TNT Sports Bundle: Available for £1/month for the first three months, then reverting to the regular price under a 24-month contract. It includes:
- All 4 TNT Sports channels
- Eurosport 1 and 2
- Discovery+ (Premium – which also includes the streaming versions of Eurosport and TNT Sports)
- The BT TV 4K Pro Box
Big Sport Bundle: In addition to everything in the TNT Sports bundle, this one also includes Sky Sports. You can get it for £35/month (instead if £43/m).
VIP Bundle: The most comprehensive bundle, which includes:
- NOW Entertainment Membership, which includes Sky’s TV channels such as Sky Atlantic and Sky Max.
- NOW Cinema Membership which includes Sky’s live and on-demand movie channels
- NOW Boost which adds Full HD (1080p) and removes the adverts from on-demand content.
- Netflix’s Standard Plan (Not the Basic one! This is the one with Full HD and no adverts)
- All 4 TNT Sports channels
- Eurosport 1 and 2
- NOW Sky Sports (with all 11 Sky Sports channels)
- Discovery+ (Premium – which also includes the streaming versions of Eurosport and TNT Sports)

ITVX Black Friday Offer
ITVX, the streaming service from ITV, has a special Black Friday deal for its Premium tier, which removes the adverts (from MOST of the content), and adds the libraries of BritBox and Studio Canal Presents.
The Black Friday offer gives new subscribers three months for just £1 per month, for up to 3 months.
Paramount+ Half Price Deal
Paramount+ UK joins the Black Friday frenzy with a compelling offer: For up to three months, new or returning subscribers can enjoy a 50% discount on the monthly subscription, paying just £3.49 per month.
This offer is available either directly via Paramount+ or through the Amazon Prime Video Channels version
Audible – 60% off Four Months
Streaming TV is not the only entertainment out there – you can also stream audiobooks, thanks to Audible, which has one of the largest audiobook collections in the world.
Their monthly subscription gives you book credits each month. The normal subscription costs £7.99/month, and you get one credit a month (each credit is worth one audiobook, in most cases).
With the subscription, you now also get unlimited listening to Audible Plus – which is a library of thousands of audiobooks, podcasts and Audible originals.
For Black Friday this year, you can get a 60% discount for up to 3 months – so £2.99/month for 3 months. After the three months are up, the subscription will renew at the regular rate – unless you cancel.
Plex Pass – 25% Off
Plex is a popular media management and streaming platform (see our full Plex review), that lets you organise your locally stored media files, as well as stream them to a multitude of other devices.
In recent years, Plex joined the content game, when it launched a free on-demand streaming service that features TV programmes, movies and documentaries.
The basic Plex software is free, but they also offer the paid “Plex Pass” subscription, which offers things like: downloading content to your mobile phone, Plexamp – a custom music app, the ability to watch and record live TV (via your computer), a skip intro function, and more.
