Below decks actor Ben Willoughby admitted that he may have committed an illegal act when he became a bosun. Below decks season 11 is expected to feature a record number of shootings. In the most recent episode, Jared Woodin was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge after he caused a hostile situation with the rest of the cast. He also didn’t fit in well with his position or his crewmates. Once he left Saint David, Captain Kerry asked Ben to get up and become the new bosun after being the leader.

After an episode full of drama Below decks season 11, Ben spoke Us Weekly giving honest reactions to everything that went down. He believed he could handle the bosun position after Jared’s shooting. However, Ben revealed that he may have accidentally broken the law when he helped Saint David leave during that charter period. He admitted, “It’s unheard of (though we’re) coming off the dock first. You have two deck members when Sunny (Marquis) is in the tender. You wouldn’t do that. I don’t even know if it’s legal, to be honest.”

The feelings were “running high“During that charter, for all kinds of reasons, not the least of which was that they were working on the longest charter of the season. The untimely departure of both Jared and Cat Baugh made matters worse as it already was. As a result, “it’s just not a level playing field.” It was quite a hectic experience for everyone on board Saint David during its charter and Ben “wouldn’t want to do it again.” Despite this ordeal, they still had to provide a five-star experience to their guests without letting the drama become public.

When Below decks season 11 started, Ben found the lack of promotion very frustrating. Before the start of the current season, he worked as a bosun on some other ships.
