Interestingly, Cat’s exit wasn’t the only departure that happened in that episode. Below decks season 11. Captain Kerry called Jared Woodin to fire him. The episode picked up after Bosun’s drunken behavior turned hostile. When talking with EW, Captain Kerry admitted that he had already “to think through“how to deal with Jared before it all came to a head. Cat leaving was a very unfortunate situation and it’s hard to see someone who is struggling trying to keep up in front of subscription guests. Captain Kerry is right that it ultimately didn’t matter what Cat found out on the phone call that led to her leaving early. He never revealed the details to Kerry or viewers. At the end of the day, Kerry did a masterful job handling Cat’s crisis and is ready to help whenever he could. Such a leader is what these stews, cutlers, bosuns and cooks need.
