Endo Kazutoshi is cooking at the Mayfair members’ club
After a fire caused his White City restaurant Endo at The Rotunda to close last year, sushi master Endo Kazutoshi isn’t staying out of the kitchen as he’s running a five-month pop-up in Mayfair. And he’s not taking over any old space as he’s cooking at exclusive members’ club Annabel’s, which is opening to the public for the first time.
Yes you can book a spot at Endo’s pop-up, officially called ‘Endo, Upstairs at Annabel’s’ but which he’s calling ‘Untitled’, even if you’re not a member of Annabel’s – but you’ll have to shell out £245 for the omakase menu. You’ll also have to give up your phone and skip the perfume if you want to dine there as per Endo’s strict rules.
With the Rotunda team joining Endo at Annabel’s, this is the closest you can get to experiencing his Michelin-star restaurant until it reopens. Unsurprisingly, this is one hot ticket – there are only ten seats per sitting and eight sittings a week, and reservations for February and March are already full – so you’ll want to keep a close eye for when the next round of bookings open. And if you can’t get in, there’s another high-end omakase experience that’s just launched in Mayfair where you can try your luck.
