An Official Studio Ghibli Shop Is Opening In London This Month – And It’s The Ultimate Christmas Treat For Anime Lovers

Fans of Studio Ghibli rejoice! Christmas has come early, and it’s got Totoro arriving on the Catbus.

This weekend, legendary Japanese animation Studio Ghibli is setting up shop in Londonbringing an imaginative, themed retail pop-up to the heart of Knightsbridge. From beloved plushies to magical homewares, here’s everything you need to know about Maison Ghibli’s arrival and what you’ll discover behind its doors.

Maison Ghibli shop details and opening times

House Ghibli opens its doors on Saturday, November 15 at 237 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, SW3 2EP.

The pop-up will remain until January 11, 2026, giving Londoners and visitors nearly two months to immerse themselves in the whimsical world of Ghibli shopping.

Opening hours are generous: Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 8:00pm; Saturdays, 9:30am to 8:30pm; Sundays, 12:30pm to 7:30pm. Entry is free – so you only need to worry about your Christmas shopping budget.

Officially licensed Ghibli goodies from Japan

The store is stacked with a curated range of officially licensed merchandise, imported directly from Japan. Expect plush dolls of classic Hayao Miyazaki characters including Totoro, the ever-mysterious No-Face from Spirited Away, and Jiji, the sassy feline from Kiki’s Delivery Service.

In addition, visitors can browse mini-figures, intricate puzzles, models, and even unique homewares and stationery. If you’ve ever wanted chopsticks adorned with Ghibli’s magical motifs, or a mug inspired by Castle in the Skythis is your moment.

House Ghibli isn’t just about shopping; it’s about celebrating fandom, with an Instagram-ready Totoro photo opportunity in the shop window for ultimate online bragging rights. Whether you’re a collector, a die-hard Spirited Away admirer, or just searching for an enchanting festive gift, the pop-up is a festive treat as magical as any Miyazaki adventure.

Beyond exclusive merchandise, House Ghibli offers a chance to support the creative future of Studio Ghibli, with proceeds from officially licensed products funnelled straight back into funding the studio’s next magical project. And while you might not be able to pick up an actual moving castle, every purchase ensures Studio Ghibli keeps conjuring new wonders for generations to come.

Maison Ghibli opens at 9:30am this Saturday, November 15. Mark your calendars!
