A Musical Celebration Of Springtime Blooms Is Returning To Kew Gardens This Week

Kew Gardens are gearing up to bloom with beauty and melody this spring, as the Sounds of Blossom festival returns to celebrate the changing of the seasons. The event is an enchanting collaboration with the Royal College of Music, making nature and music collide in a one-of-a-kind jubilee.

Right now, hundreds of springtime blooms are starting to sprout, transforming Kew’s sprawling 320-acre UNESCO World Heritage Site into a multisensory wonderland for music lovers and green thumbs.

Their Sounds of Blossom event honours this annual spring metamorphosis, with a gorgeous soundtrack to boot.

What to Expect from Sounds of Blossom:

Picture this: pastel-hued cherry blossoms swaying gently in the breeze, magnolias blooming in soft shades of pink and white, and thousands of daffodils carpeting the ground. Now imagine all that accompanied by bespoke musical compositions, crafted by seven talented students from the Royal College of Music.

Students from the college have composed new music, commissioned by Kew and inspired by the glory of spring. These new compositions will be played around the Gardens at the springtime blossom hotspots.

Beyond the music, Kew Gardens offers plenty to delight visitors. From fantastic walking trails to picture-perfect gardens, luscious lakes to their Japanese Landscape, and beyond.

So, celebrate the return of spring by heading to their gorgeous grounds for the Sounds of Blossom celebration. It’s perfect to immerse yourself in nature and escape the hustle and bustle of London life.

Tickets to Kew Gardens start at £20 for adults, with discounted rates available for children, students, and families. Book your springtime visit to Kew Gardens by clicking here.

Sounds of Blossom will be taking place from 15 March to 6 April 2025with their current opening times being 11am to 6pm (last entry 5pm). Entry to the event is included with entry to the Gardens.
