a scene from love actually showing bill nighy's character flanked by women in christmassy red and white dresses

Come Christmas time, there are certain films that we’ll watch on repeat throughout the festive season. I’m talking about the likes of It’s A Wonderful Life, Home Alone, The Muppet Christmas Caroland even sometimes Die Hard. But perhaps the most beloved holiday film of them all is the heartwarming Love Actually. And this weekend, you can enjoy the film in spectacular fashion at special Love Actually concert performances.

On December 6, across a matinee and evening performance, the Eventim Apollo will present special Love Actually concert screenings. These will take place at 2:30 and 7:30pm, respectively. You’ll have to act quickly if you want to attend, though, as tickets are in high demand!

It’s one of the most quotable and adored Christmas films of all time. To this day, it still gets memed and referenced endlessly as the festive season rolls around. And this is a chance to experience the movie in a truly breathtaking way – with live music underscoring the film’s emotional high and low points.

The experience heightens the movie’s unforgettable moments and songs. Can’t you just imagine an orchestra soundtracking Hugh Grant boogieing his way across the screen as the prime minister? Or a live rendition of ‘Christmas Is All Around’? “I feel it in my fingers…”

And don’t worry, they’re not silencing the film for the performance! The original dialogue will still play out, with subtitles on screen to ensure you don’t miss a single iconic line.

By now, it’s an annual tradition for the Eventim Apollo to put on a live concert screening of the festive flick. And each year, the event attracts sell-out crowds. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around (or on screen at the Eventim Apollo at least).

So grab a ticket and head to the Eventim Apollo for a heartwarming orchestral and cinematic experience this weekend. You’ll likely find yourself quietly muttering ‘that music’s quite pretty‘…

Find out more and grab tickets here.
