LEGO-loving Londoners, listen up. In a bid to inject some much-needed colour into the capital this winter; a bold, bright, and brilliantly playful installation has just landed in the heart of Covent Garden. The Chalet of Play comes courtesy of the LEGO Groupand it has recently set up shop in Covent Garden’s piazza, ready to welcome families for some festive fun and frolics. And the very best part, I hear you ask? It’s completely free to visit.

The LEGO Chalet of Play

Set out like a traditionally-inspired Christmas market, guests can wander through the chalet and embark on a number of enchanting adventures. With a whole host of creative activities to get stuck in to, you’ll be pretty spoilt for choice to be quite honest.

There’s a ‘Tinsel Toss’ where visitors can test their aim by chucking tinsel rings onto some beloved LEGO characters. There’s a LEGO Minecraft zone where guests can embark on some gaming-inspired missions. There’s a dedicated ‘Build to Give’ area where LEGO-lovers can discover the joy of giving back this Christmas. As part of the ongoing initiative, every LEGO heart built at the chalet, LEGO will donate a set to a child in need.

There’s also a rather enchanting ‘Creativi-tree’ which will stand as a heartwarming symbol of the imagination and creativity of children. Builders can let their imagination shine as they construct their colourful creation to hang on the tree. Each and every brick will tell a story, and every visitor can create their very own piece of Christmas magic.

The Chalet of Play will also be home to huge LEGO-built models of Santa Claus and Rudolphso visitors can snap some seasonal photos and capture what’s sure to a truly magical moment.

You’ll find LEGO’s Chalet of Play in Covent Garden’s East Piazza until November 30. Find out more and plan your visit here.
