Christmas in London is truly a magical time of year. The lights twinkle merrily on high, and festive markets fill the air with the scent of mulled wine. But what if you want to bring your best furry friend with you to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas in the city? Well, then you’ll want to head to Islington, where a special dog-friendly Christmas celebration is set to take place this weekend.

This Saturday, November 15, Islington Square will be filled with festive cheer. At the all-ages event, guests can enjoy everything from live music to face painting and even a dog caricaturist. Yup, you could get a delightful Christmassy cartoon drawing of your puppy pal! The event will also feature a Christmas market from Urban Food Fest, with a variety of local makers’ stalls and artisanal products on offer.

As you might expect, the area will be full of Christmas decorations and lights. Keep an eye out for the Christmas tree, too, for a festive photo-op with your canine companion. (Though, it shouldn’t be too hard to spot the towering festive tree!)

The area’s stores and venues are also getting in on the fun as part of the dog-friendly Christmas celebration. Dog-lovers will want to head to WagWorks first. There, they’ll find a branded cart filled with festive treats and a Christmas-themed lucky dip. They’re also offering a 50% discount on your dog’s first groom before Christmas, so they can look their best for the holidays.

Elsewhere in the area, OMNOM will be offering complimentary Masala Tea to diners and running a tree decoration station. Crafty kids can head to Wheat, which will be running a children’s craft table in-store. And adults, be sure to pop into Bottle Cocktail Shop for a warming mulled wine during the event.

📍 The Islington Square Christmas celebrations will take place at (where else) Islington Square, 116 Upper Street, N1 1QP. The event will run from 11:30am-5:30pm on Saturday, November 15.
