Fire of Truth left four players: Traitor Kate Chastain and Faithfuls MJ Javid, CT and Trishelle. Kate fell first, and MJ assumed it was game over and the Faithfuls had won. Since they were deadlocked, they voted again, and this time both CT and Trishelle eliminated MJ, making them the winners.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, The Traitors US season 2 contestant Trishelle admitted that she regretted voting to evict CT. He explained that he “Letting the paranoia of the game get to me.” Trishelle said she knew MJ wasn’t a Traitor but she thought so maybe the CT was “my traitor angel was protecting me all this time.” However, he knew it right away “that was a huge mistake.” Trishelle added that she kicked MJ out a second time because CT’s look made her feel “so terrible.” He thought, “I can’t write his name again. CT Would Have Revenge on Trishe “Back In The Day”
CT admitted that he thought about getting revenge on Trishelle by writing his name. He said, “Oh, yeah. Before, I would have been like, ‘Oh yeah? You. Let’s get him, MJ.” If CT had voted to expel Trishelle along with MJ, Trishelle would have been eliminated. However, CT remained loyal to his friend Challenge competitor, and they won the game, sharing the $208,100 prize pool.
While the old CT may have gotten revenge on Trishelle and banished her, it’s refreshing to see her personal growth. They were loyal to each other because they considered themselves a part Challenge family. During The Traitors US in season 2, they stayed together just like the Bravo stars. It would have been fun to see how they would have played the game if their friends Challenge veteran Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio hadn’t been murdered on their first night.
Trishelle almost kicked CT out of the game due to her paranoia, but luckily she had another chance to save her and share the prize pool with her. Although MJ tried to develop theories about traitors and strategies to expel them The Traitors US in season 2, she didn’t participate as much during missions as Trishelle and CT. CT was especially important to earn money for the prize pool with both his physical prowess and intelligence. Trishelle was also fantastic at figuring out who the traitors were during the game.
