Canadian singer and DJ Kaytranada was revealed this week as the latest headliner for this year’s All Points East festival. He takes to the stage in Victoria Park on Friday 16 August.
He joins the previously announced artists for this summer’s concert series: Victoria Monét, Loyle Carner, Thundercat, LCD Soundsystem and many more. And general admission tickets for that day have just gone on sale – you can get them here.
Following the huge news, fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media. On Instagram, one user wrote: “This is the best line-up I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “Whoever is behind the curation of APE send an address for these flowers because you’ve been going crazy for a while now.” A third commented: “Best lineup I’ve seen in a long time.”
With his innovative blend of electronic, hip-hop and R&B elements, Kaytranada has gained international recognition since his debut album. Released in 2016, it not only received critical acclaim but also secured him the prestigious Polaris Music Prize.
His follow-up record, earned him two Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Album, and made history as the first black artist to win in this category. He now continues to push the boundaries and inspire audiences worldwide with his unique sound.
Kaytranada’s next London date will be at All Points East, which has become the capital’s key event since its inception six years ago. Last year welcomed headliners from a series of world-class artists over two weekends of shows including Stormzy, The Strokes, Jungle, Dermot Kennedy and HAIM.
