An issue recently discovered by a player in the Palworld has led to some funny anecdotes: buddies can escape and look like wild buddies working on the base or stealing food.
Palworld’s runaway success came as a surprise to everyone, and the game’s developer, Pocketpair, is no exception. The small studio has already publicly asked for more hands-on work, in the form of job postings on its social media accounts.
The small studio has done remarkably well in keeping its early access game running and quickly delivering patches to fix annoying bugs, like the problems with the Lifmunk pictures . However, errors and bugs are still a common part of the Palworld game.
Players on Reddit recently discussed an amusing glitch that causes base companions to flee and appear as “wild”.
An issue in Palworld causes Pals to appear wild, with players unable to interact with them.
When one player shared a video showing that a “Wild Sparkit” had snuck into their base “and started working,” others were quick to share information about the problem. Since the player couldn’t interact with Palen at all, they assumed he had just walked in and started working. However, it turned out that this was not the case.
“Looks like a Sparkit in your box may have gone bad,” explained another player. Another fan agreed and provided more information. “I think it has to do with moving items quickly between your base and your box,” they said.
Another player shared his own experience with the bug. “I had a (Pyrin) problem like this,” they said. They then explained that the boyfriend refused to work but that he always hunger . “He ate constantly and never satiated his hunger! The damn thing emptied my food boxes overnight, I was eating 1 item per second.
According to the player, even after destroying and rebuilding the power boxes, Pal’s strange behavior continued until he restarted his server.
Thanks to this glitch, a player’s Pyrin had an insatiable hunger.
Still, the players were more than happy to joke about the idea of wild buddies invading the base for work. “Sparkits crave hard labor,” said one. “You need to show initiative in this economy,” joked another.
Pocketpair will likely fix this bug in a future patch. But for now, players must keep an eye out for the raging minions in their base.
