Finbar Sulllivan died after he was attacked with a knife at the view point on Tuesday evening (April 7).

Finbar’s history

Going by a name as Sully Shot It and Sully Studio Sessions, Finbar mainly worked as a music video director for rap artists in the UK, reports our sister-site London Now.

This includes behind the scene shots and on-stage shots with Luton rapper Nafe Smallz who has released songs with major UK rap artists such as Skepta and Chip.

It has since emerged that Finbar was the grandson of the acclaimed Kiwi cinematographer Michael Seresin.

According to Michael’s IMDB page, he is known for several collaborations with British director Alan Parker.

He also also worked as a director of photography for films including Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Finbar’s mother Leah is a brand ambassador for a New Zealand winery called Seresin Estate.

His dad Christopher told the Daily Mail that Finbar had just received a new camera for his 21st birthday, and he reportedly took it to Primrose Hill to do a bit of filming.

Mr Sullivan said that he was a “little groovy” 21-year-old who loved movies and making films.

The dad said: “He’d stay at home editing his films six nights a week. He wanted to follow in his (grandfather’s footsteps) and be a cameraman.

“He was a studious kid who just loved movies and making films. He recently did a video for Joseph Corre, Vivienne Westwood’s son.

“We were just about to start a company together. He was going to do his showreel today with me and now he’s dead.”

Two arrested

Officers were called to the scene at 6.41pm and Finbar died at the scene.

Another man, believed to be in his 20s, was found nearby on Regent’s Park Road and he was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

His injuries have since been confirmed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Yesterday (April 10), officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

A 25-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The pair remain in police custody.

The Metropolitan Police said on Thursday (April 9) that a young woman or teenager was captured on film recording a fight in the park, which is believed to have occurred “shortly before the incident”.

Detective Inspector Andy Griffin, who is leading the investigation, said: “My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family who continue to receive support from specialist officers at this unimaginably difficult time.

“Although we have made two arrests, my officers continue to work around the clock to trace everyone involved.

“I’d like to thank the public who have come forward with information so far.

“If you are yet to speak to us, or share footage from Tuesday relating to this incident, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

“Anything you submit could have a huge impact on our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 6448/07Apr.

Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
